About Flopp

What is Flopp?

FLOPP was founded in 2007 with a clear mission: to create sustainable cleaning products that improve people's quality of life and promote a deep respect for the environment. At Flopp we develop a line of essential hygiene products for the home, reducing and optimising resources, and thinking about your needs and those of the planet.

Where do we manufacture our products?

Our products are manufactured in Spain under the highest quality standards certified ISO 9001 quality management, 14001 environmental management and 45001 occupational health and safety management.

Storage mode and shelf life

Due to the nature of the capsule film, proper storage is essential.

Store the product in a dry place, away from moisture.

We advise that you do not reach into the package with a wet hand to pick up the capsule or touch the capsules with wet hands as the capsule will begin to dissolve.

What are Flopp capsules coated with?

The membrane that covers our capsules is made of PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol). This material dissolves in water, releasing its concentrated content.

This 100% water-soluble film is biodegradable.

PVA is a polymer that leaves no residue in the environment and is also approved by the demanding specifications of the Ecolabel certificate.

We attach some links with scientific studies that show that PVA is completely biodegradable:

Today there is no other more sustainable water-soluble alternative to this material.

What is ECOLABEL certification?

The main objective of the ECO LABEL programme is to reduce the negative impact of certain products on the environment and to make it easier for consumers to choose more environmentally friendly products. For a product to bear the ECO LABEL logo, it must meet the requirements formulated for the ECO LABEL product groups. ECO LABEL is a type 14024 label according to the ISO 1 environmental certification standard.

To obtain ECO LABEL certification, the manufacturer must comply with the ECO LABEL product requirements. The main steps to be taken to achieve this are:

  • Examine the entire product life cycle and identify key environmental factors.
  • Establish strict requirements for defined key environmental areas, such as chemical content of products and use of hazardous substances, waste separation and minimization, energy and water use, and quality and durability.
  • Ensure that no endocrine disruptors, allergens or known carcinogens are used.
